The Braich is adapted to cater for all outdoor activity enthusiasts, social and family groups, stag and hen parties, corporate groups and is the perfect base for walking, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, cycling breaks and much more.

Number of beds: 26

General: Centrally heated throughout. Hot water and heating covered in the cost.

Bedrooms: 6 rooms. 5 having 4 beds, one with 6 beds. 4 of the rooms have en-suite shower/toilet and hand basins. The other 2 rooms have a hand basin and a bathroom on the same floor. Click for Gallery

The bunk beds and mattress are of high quality with mattress protector and pillow.

Kitchen: Large well-equipped kitchen equipped with: Click for Gallery

Dining room: Inglenook open log fireplace and beamed ceiling. Dining tables and chairs. Also a range of local books, guides and maps. Games available for evening entertainment! Click for Gallery

Residents' Lounge: Easy chairs for relaxing after a hectic day! DVD/video players, with a selection of family and sporting viewing. Click for Gallery

Drying room: Heated with drying rails and hangers. There will be a small charge for the use of the Washing machine ( £1 per load ) and tumble dryer ( £1 per load )

Bike and equipment storage: Secure, locked bike storage. Facilities for cleaning equipment. We have a small supply of cycle repair items for sale and a selection of useful tools for customer use.

Situated at Corris on main A487 road, overlooking River Dulas valley. Approximately 6 miles north of Machynlleth and 10 miles south of Dolgellau

Public Transport

There are buses from Machynlleth and Dolgellau. The buses stop right outside the Braich Goch. Machynlleth is the nearest mainline train station.

What to Bring

Terms and Conditions

  • Rates £17.50 per person per night.
  • Non-refundable deposit of 20% to secure chosen dates.
  • Bookings will be held for 7 days only prior to receipt of deposit.
  • Balance payable 1 month before arrival. Please make sure you have adequate insurance arranged to cover cancellation as refunds will not usually be given.
  • Bookings made less than 1 month from your arrival date will require full payment on booking.
  • Bank Holidays - Minimum of 2 Nights
  • Price includes electricity, heating, hot water. There will be a small charge for the use of the Washing machine ( £1 per load ) and tumble dryer ( £1 per load )

    • Online Bank Transfers (please call for account details)
    • Debit cards (50p charge per transaction)
    • Credit cards transactions are charged at 3% per transaction.
  • Bookings must be made by persons over the age of 18 and parties must be accommpanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18.
  • The Accommodation area is part of the Licensed area and therefore Alcoholic drinks not purchased in the Braich Goch are not encouraged. Please see Alcohol Policy for more information.
  • Arrival from 5pm on first day of stay, departure by 10am on last day.
  • Earlier arrival or later departure may be possible - please ask.
  • Beds are full-sized bunkbeds with mattress cover and pillow. Please bring sleeping bag/duvet, sheet and pillow case.
  • Linen hire available (duvet/cover/sheet/pillowcase) - £4.00 per stay.
  • The kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering, but you will need to bring such items as washing up liquid.
  • Rooms may be shared by others at peak times, if you require sole use of a room you may need to book all beds in that room.
  • No dogs, except guide dogs.
  • Persons under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst using the games in the public bar area
